  • 15 April 2024

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has made two new hires to bolster its Macroeconomics research team, Gabriella Dickens as G7 Economist, and Danny Richards as EM Asia Economist. Based in London, they will report to David Page, Head of Macroeconomic Research.

  • Gabriella joins from Pantheon Macroeconomics, where she was a UK Economist forecasting key UK macro variables, such as employment, unemployment, wage growth, trade, house prices, mortgage rates, survey data, business investment, inflation and GDP. She also helped to model and form the company’s medium-term outlook.
  • Danny joins from GlobalData, where he was Lead Economist overseeing the production of economic forecast data and construction industry reports for 90 countries, with individual responsibility for analysis on major markets, including Australia, China, South Korea, UK and US.

Commenting on the appointments, David Page, Head of Macroeconomic Research at AXA IM, said: “At AXA IM we strive to provide the best possible insights into economies and markets for our fund managers and clients to make well informed investment decisions. Continuing in that vein, we believe Gabriella and Danny bring with them a wealth of experience and will help us provide timely insights into the G7 and emerging market Asia economies.”
